Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
• Insurance claim forms
• Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
• Private sick notes
• Vaccination certificates

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability. Please allow up to 8 weeks for completion of non-NHS work.

Not all services are available under the NHS. Where patients request Non-NHS items or service a Private Fee may be payable. Payment is required in advance by cash or cheque made payable to Harleston Medical Practice.

Once payment is received please allow a minimum of 8 weeks for us to process your request.

This list is comprehensive but if not covered then as a general rule GP’s may charge £60 + VAT per 30 minutes GP work, requiring knowledge and skill.
