Important Notice


Please note, with effect from 1st November 2017 the surgery will be closed from 1-2pm every lunch time whilst GPs undertake their visits to patients that are housebound.


**Please do not attend the surgery in person between 1-2pm.**


Our reception telephone lines will remain open as usual during this period. This change will not affect clinic times or reduce the number of appointments available. If you wish to drop in a repeat prescription request during this time, please put through letterbox.

Many of us carry a mobile phone and know how useful text messaging can be.  Our text messaging service enables us to get in touch with you by sending text messages to your mobile phone

The kind of messages we may send.

There are numerous reasons that we may want to contact you using the convenience of text messaging. Some typical examples might include the following:

  • A reminder of an upcoming surgery appointment.
  • To ask you to bring documents or samples with you on your next visit.
  • To periodically collect important data to update your medical record.
  • To ask you to contact the surgery for more information about relevant services. You can even reply to the messages, for example to ‘cancel’ your appointment.

How can I receive this service?

If we do not have your mobile phone number or you are unsure of whether your contact details are up to date please contact the surgery on 01379 853217 with your full name, date of birth and mobile number.

Alternatively use the updating your contact details facility on our website harlestonsurgery.co.uk , or call in to the Bullock Fair surgery.
